WE BELIEVE the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13; II Peter 2:21)
WE BELIEVE there is ONE God, existing eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:22; Deuteronomy 5:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19) God the Son is Jesus who came to earth and was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35), died on the cross (I Corinthians 15:3, II Corinthians 5:21), rose from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; I Corinthians 15:4) and returned to heaven. (Acts 1:9-11, 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1-3)
WE BELIEVE that out of nothing, God made the things that are: the universe, the elements, plant life, animal life (to reproduce each after its kind), and finally, man in the image of God. (Genesis 1-3; Hebrews 1:1-2; John 1:1-2, 14-15: Hebrews 11:3)
WE BELIEVE that all have sinned and need a savior; that salvation is through repentance for sins and through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23, 5:12-19; Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11, 3:5-7)
WE BELIEVE the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper should be observed by all Christians. This is to be done in remembrance of Jesus’ atoning death, in celebration of His resurrection and anticipation of His return to earth. (I Corinthians 11:17-34)
WE BELIEVE the ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded in Scripture for all who repent and believe in Christ as Lord and Savior. It is an outward symbol of an inward experience declaring to the world our identification with Christ. (Matthew 28:9; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4)
WE BELIEVE that it is the believer’s privilege and responsibility to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:15-20) to manifest “the fruits of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22-26) and to exercise the “gifts of the Spirit” (I Corinthians 12:7-11) for the edification of the Church as well as the individual. (I Corinthians 14:4-5, 12, 17; I Corinthians 14:26, 31, 39, 40; Acts 2:4, 4:31, 6:5-8, 9:17, 11:24)
WE BELIEVE sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil and of dedication unto God. (Romans 12:1-2; I Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 13:12) The Scriptures teach a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) This means to be set apart for the use for which He intended, not to be our own, but to be His instrument and to walk in conformity with His way. (John 17:17-19)
WE BELIEVE that the Church is the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:22), and that it is a dynamic force of people commissioned by the Lord to meet peoples’ needs in JESUS’ NAME. (John 17:18; Mark 16:15-20) It is empowered by the Holy Spirit to evangelize and minister with accompanying supernatural sign. (Acts 4:29-31; Hebrews 2:3-4) Each member is individually important (Ephesians 4:16) and collectively dependent. (I Corinthians 12:12-26)
WE BELIEVE that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14- 16)
WE BELIEVE in the “Blessed Hope” which is the resurrection of those who are dead in Christ, and their translation together with those who are alive and remain at the coming of the Lord. (Romans 8:23; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13; I Corinthians 15:51-52)
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will defeat Satan and establish a thousand year reign of peace. (Revelation 19:11-14, 20:1-6; Isaiah 11:6-9; Psalm 72:3-8; Micah 4:3-4)
WE BELIEVE there will be a final judgment of the wicked and they will be judged at the Great White Throne. At that time, whoever is not written in the Book of Life, together with the devil, his angels and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment, which is the second death. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8)
WE BELIEVE according to His promise, that we can look for a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. (II Peter 3:13; Revelation 21)
